This is the second Tim Willocks novel I have read, after reading Green River Rising some years ago (which was turned into a film starring the late Dennis Hopper). It's quite hard to categorise Bad City Blues, perhaps as a Southern Gothic pyscho sexual torture porn fest with added violence, sex , sweat, drugs and (of course) the blues.
